Pregnant horse stolen from Low Road

Posted: 10/01/2008

“Rosie” is a piebald cob, measuring 14 hands and was stolen from a field along the Low Road Fenstanton, some time between 16:00 on Friday 4th January and 09:00 on the following morning.

During the day of the 4th, the owner was approached by two men in a white van who expressed an interest in acquiring her. The Police are very keen to speak to the men in connection with their enquiries.

PC Suzanne Pickard, investigating, said: "I am appealing to anyone who has information relating to this theft to contact me.

"In particular I am appealing to those in the equine industry. Have you been offered a mare matching the description of Rosie in the last few days?

"It is important that Rosie is reunited with her owner as quickly as possible because she needs specialist care through her pregnancy."

Anyone with information should contact PC Pickard at St Ives Police Station on 0845 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
