Fenstanton W I - July & August Report

Posted: 08/08/2017

July

Frank Boddy from “ Wild in the Pantry “, a personal chef who also runs pop–up restaurants locally, showed us in about 45 minutes how to make 4 different canapés using simple techniques and very little cooking. We all enjoyed Frank’s demonstration, helpful hints and the delicious canapés which we all got a chance to sample. All the recipes were made available and we left the meeting inspired with ideas to create our own.

August

Pamela Tasker, who has worked in the garment industry managing the supply of haberdashery in retail and wholesale companies, came along and gave a really interesting talk about what we usually take for granted – buttons – their history, what they can be made from and lots more. She also brought along lots of samples for us to see and touch.
