FENSTANTON FOOTBALL CLUB HAVE MADE THE CUP FINAL !

Fenstanton Football Club booked their place into the final of the Hunts Benevolent Cup on Saturday after beating St Ives Rangers in a thrilling semi final battle. Rangers took the lead early on in the match but Fenstanton managed to equalise with a tight angled shot courtesy of Josh Turner and then Liam Mitten, lobbing goalkeeper Ross Prior to take the lead before half time. Rangers equalised in the 2nd half but Josh Turner managed to put Fenstanton in the driving seat again making it 3-2. Substitute Salv Merola slotted home from close range taking the score to 4-2 but then Turner confirmed the victory and completed his hat trick when converting a penalty after Liam Mitten was brought down in the box. Final score 5-2.

The final is to be played on Wednesday 20th APRIL against St Neots Town Reserves at Somersham Town Football Club. Kick off is at 7.30pm.

DOG OWNERS - A REMINDER!

Fenstanton Football Club field is privately owned and there is NO automatic right of access for anyone.

However, an annually reviewed arrangement exists with the Parish Council to let the public have access to the field to persue sporting and similar leisure activities.

Dogs are NOT permitted on the football field at ANY time, irrespective of whether the owner is passing through.

There are signs that clearly state this but it seems that people ignore them. Both adults and children have fixtures on Fenstanton Football Pitch each week and clearing up other people’s dog mess is not what we want to have to be worrying about before matches take place.

If dog-owners continue to ignore this, access to the field for ALL non-FFC activities may be withdrawn.

Please do NOT walk your dogs on our property. Thank you.
