YOU ARE INVITED TO A DEMENTIA AWARENESS SESSION

Posted: 09/05/2013

This is not a fund-raising exercise, nor a campaign to get more volunteers, it's also not a befriending scheme - it's purely an information session to raise awareness of dementia. It's not a serious lecture either - there's a round of bingo and pictionary so it's quite good fun. It's open to everyone from the village and beyond. Any age. It's useful for those who have never heard of the condition as well as those directly affected

People with dementia sometimes need a helping hand to go about their daily lives and feel included in their local community. Dementia Friends is giving people an understanding of dementia and the small things they can do that can make a difference to people living with dementia - from helping someone find the right bus to spreading the word about dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Society wants to create a network of a million Dementia Friends across England by 2015.

Attend this one hour awareness session to start making a difference. It’s fun, free and informative – open to everyone from aged 8 to 108!

WHEN: Tuesday 21st May 2013, 7pm

WHERE: Fenstanton Church Centre

No need to bring anything other than your friends and family!
